Outpatient Treatment Programs in Long Beach, CA
Faith Recovery provides structured outpatient treatment for adults working to overcome substance use and strengthen their recovery. Our Long Beach outpatient treatment programs support people at different stages of the recovery process. We offer personalized, evidence-based care in small groups where connection, accountability, and meaningful participation remain central.
Explore Our Levels of Care
Recovery needs can change as you build stability and make progress. Faith Recovery offers two outpatient levels of care with different schedules and degrees of structure. Explore each program below to understand how partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care may fit your current needs, responsibilities, and recovery goals.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our intensive outpatient program helps adults who need ongoing clinical support with a schedule that allows greater independence. IOP may be appropriate when you are ready to continue recovery while managing suitable work, school, or family responsibilities. Treatment includes structured group participation and support based on your personalized plan.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our partial hospitalization program supports adults who need a more structured outpatient schedule without entering residential clinical treatment. PHP provides frequent programming for people who benefit from added consistency, accountability, and therapeutic support. This level of care may help you establish stability before transitioning into a less intensive treatment schedule.
Outpatient Care Around Your Progress
No two people enter treatment with the same experiences, challenges, or goals. At Faith Recovery, we develop personalized treatment plans that reflect your current needs and stage of recovery. Care takes place in small groups, creating space for participation, honest discussion, and stronger therapeutic relationships. This setting allows you to engage with peers while receiving focused support from the treatment team.
Our approach connects evidence-based treatment with accountability and practical recovery work. As your needs change, your treatment plan can be reviewed to determine which level of outpatient support remains appropriate. The goal is to help you develop insight, practice healthier responses, and build a recovery foundation that applies beyond scheduled treatment hours.
Outpatient Treatment Services and Schedules
With morning and evening sessions available, our Long Beach outpatient treatment programs offer flexible treatment options for busy lives. Program schedules provide several opportunities to participate in structured care throughout the week.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Community Meetings
Community Meetings give participants a structured place to raise program concerns, make requests, welcome new group members, and discuss shared issues. These conversations encourage respectful communication between participants and staff while helping the treatment community address matters that affect the group experience.
Education on Addiction Groups
Education on Addiction Groups provide presentations and guided discussions about the disease of addiction and important recovery topics. Participants can develop a clearer understanding of substance use, recognize patterns connected to their experiences, and learn information that supports more informed recovery decisions.
Process Groups
Process Groups offer facilitated conversations about addiction, alcoholism, and ongoing recovery. Participants can examine personal challenges, express concerns, and consider how thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors may influence progress. The group setting also provides opportunities to learn from shared experiences.
Family Programming
Family Programming allows family members and significant others to participate in a client and family group. These sessions create space to discuss family relationships and ongoing recovery concerns. Participation can help loved ones communicate more openly and better understand issues affecting the recovery process.
TMS Therapy
TMS Therapy, or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, is an FDA-approved, noninvasive medical treatment offered for patients with depression who have not benefited from initial antidepressant medication. Recommendations depend on the individual’s symptoms, treatment history, and an appropriate clinical assessment.
Trusted Outpatient Treatment in Long Beach
Faith Recovery has served adults in Long Beach since 2001. That experience has given us a practical understanding of the questions, concerns, and uncertainty people may face when considering treatment. While experience never guarantees a particular outcome, it reflects our long-standing commitment to helping people pursue recovery with dignity and respect.
Our outpatient program is Joint Commission Accredited, providing an external measure of quality and safety standards. We also believe trust begins with clear communication. Before treatment starts, our admissions team can explain program schedules, discuss the differences between available levels of care, and verify insurance benefits. You can ask questions, understand what participation involves, and review the information available before making a decision. This straightforward process helps you and your loved ones approach treatment with clearer expectations and greater confidence.

my life began at faith recovery!!! top tier place to get your mind right, and get clean + sober. the employees there are extremely supportive and help you get back on your feet. i stayed in their program for as long as i could and didn't want to leave. the sober living i lived in was beautiful clean + safe neighborhood. best part about it is the women there were serious about their recovery and NO DRAMA. the center we went for group was very clean, they kept coffee water and snacks for us. chairs are big leather recliners, etc. my therapist and case manager were both amazing and on top of everything i needed. they didn't seem burnt out or overloaded with clients like they usually are everywhere else. also, diana (the owner) is the best. she's been sober for over 30 years and was very hands on with all of us clients. i've been to treatment over 5 times... i've never met any of the owners, let alone seen them on a regular basis be so passionately involved with everyone's treatment processes. she'd lend the shirt off her back to you if it helped you stay sober one more day. i just love faith recovery and i honestly owe them MY LIFE!!!Posted on Google

I spent 5 months at Faith Recovery last year in their treatment program once i left detox. I've been to several other programs over the years in the so cal area + Faith is BY FAR my favorite. The house was safe, comfortable, decorated pretty, and the center we went to for group was very nice. I loved all the staff, they took great care of all of us clients. The owner Diana is highly involved, and just wants us all to succeed. I am still sober after leaving, and would recommend Faith to all my closest family and friends.Posted on Google

Faith Recovery gave me my life back. When I was going through the hardest time I’ve ever had to live through, I didn’t know how I was going to make it. Diana was there for me every step of the way with compassion, patience, and unwavering support. She truly cared about my recovery and believed in me, even when I struggled to believe in myself. Because of Diana and the incredible support I received at Faith Recovery, I found hope, healing, and the strength to rebuild my life. I’ll always be grateful for everything she did for me during such a difficult chapter. Faith Recovery is an excellent and effective addiction recovery center. From first-hand experience, it is my sincere opinion that its outpatient program and sober living program are both first rate. The counselors and therapists for the outpatient program consistently exhibit professionalism, knowledgeability, genuine care for clients, patience, and clear communication in recovery education. The advice and support I received through Faith Recovery has helped me maintain a strong sobriety, a successful life, and inner peace. The sober living homes are amongst the finest that can be found, and certainly the finest I’ve seen. The home I stayed in was clean, quiet, safe, and holistically supportive of my recovery. Every house has a manager onsite committed to ensure the recovery and overall safety of every resident. Faith Recovery’s owner and CEO, Diana, has over 30 years of recovery herself and over 20 years experience building and maintaining this operation. She is entirely dedicated to the recovery and happiness of her clients. She is directly involved in each client’s treatment and support, and clearly loves and cares for her work and clients. Faith Recovery is run ethically and passionately. Its care and support are high quality and unwavering. I will be forever grateful for the great life it has helped me create and enjoy.Posted on Google

I’ve been at FH for almost two months after spending five months in residential treatment. I would’ve left treatment much sooner had I known about a program like FH. The house is great—super clean, fast internet and a pool. Plenty of space in the bedrooms and doesn’t feel crowded even at capacity. The outpatient program is excellent. Case managers and therapists are knowledgeable and have a depth of personal experience in sobriety.Posted on Google

They are humbled to share their experience, strength, and hope about their addictions and sobriety with any new face that walks through the door. Explore Our Long Beach Outpatient Programs
You do not need to understand every level of care before reaching out. Our team can listen to your concerns, explain the available outpatient options, and help you learn what may fit your circumstances. Whether you are seeking treatment for yourself or someone you love, a confidential conversation can provide clear information and a practical place to begin.
FAQ: Outpatient Treatment Program in Long Beach
Choosing an outpatient program can feel confusing, especially when you are already managing other concerns. These answers can help you understand what to expect, compare your options, and feel more prepared. You can also contact us whenever you need guidance based on your circumstances.
How Do I Know Whether PHP or IOP Is Right for Me?
You do not need to choose a program on your own. The right level of care depends on the structure you need, your current stability, and your daily responsibilities. Your recovery experience and available support can also influence our recommendation.
Partial hospitalization programming may be appropriate when you need a more frequent and structured treatment schedule. Intensive outpatient programming provides continued support with greater independence. It may fit your needs when you are ready to balance treatment with suitable work, school, or family responsibilities. Before you begin, we can learn about your circumstances and explain both options clearly. We base our recommendations on your assessment, needs, and recovery goals instead of using the same plan for everyone.
Can I Move From PHP to IOP During Recovery?
Yes, your level of care may change as your needs and progress change. Moving from PHP to IOP can give you greater independence while keeping you connected to structured treatment. However, there is no fixed timeline for making that transition.
We will review how you are doing, discuss any current challenges, and consider the support you have outside treatment. Together, we can decide whether your present schedule remains helpful or another level may better meet your needs. You may need more time in PHP, or you may become ready for IOP sooner than expected. Neither path means you are succeeding or falling behind. Our goal is to provide the amount of structure that supports you at each stage of recovery.
What Happens Before I Start an Outpatient Program?
Getting started begins with a confidential conversation. You can tell our admissions team what has been happening, what concerns you have, and what kind of help you are seeking. You do not need to know which program you need before you call.
We can explain the available options and answer questions about schedules, participation, and insurance. An assessment will help us determine whether outpatient treatment is appropriate and which level of care may support you. If you plan to use insurance, we can verify your benefits and explain the available coverage information. This process gives you time to ask questions and understand the next steps. You can make an informed decision without feeling that you must have everything figured out beforehand.
How Should I Prepare for My First Day?
It is normal to feel uncertain before your first day. You can begin by confirming your schedule and asking our admissions team what information or materials you should bring. We can also explain where to go, what participation involves, and what you can expect from the program.
You do not need to arrive with a complete recovery plan. Try to come with an open mind and a willingness to take part in the process. You may also want to think about the challenges you hope to address or the goals that matter most to you. If you feel nervous, you can share that with us. Questions and uncertainty are natural when beginning something new. Your first day is simply an opportunity to become familiar with treatment and start building connections.
Can Treatment Fit Around Work, School, or Family Responsibilities?
We offer morning and evening sessions to provide options for different schedules. This flexibility may help you continue managing appropriate work, school, or family responsibilities while participating in treatment. Our program recommendation will still depend on the amount of support and structure you currently need.
PHP generally requires a greater time commitment than IOP. Before treatment begins, our admissions team can walk you through the available schedule and attendance expectations. You can discuss your responsibilities, transportation needs, and any scheduling concerns with us. Together, we can consider what is practical without losing sight of your recovery needs. Treatment should fit your circumstances where possible, but it also needs enough time and consistency to provide meaningful support.
Does Insurance Help Pay for Outpatient Treatment?
We work with most PPO insurance providers, and your benefits may help cover some treatment costs. You do not have to sort through complicated insurance information by yourself. Our admissions team can check your benefits, explain what your plan may cover, and help you understand possible costs before treatment begins.
Every insurance policy is different, so coverage depends on your specific plan and the services recommended for you. Your benefits may include deductibles, copayments, network requirements, or other conditions. Verifying your insurance can give you a clearer picture of the available coverage and help you plan your next steps. Contact us with your current insurance information, and an Admissions Specialist can guide you through the verification process and answer your questions.
